Vote for this idea and we can make this project happen!

I have summarized the idea we have been discussing on an idea competition website called inov8. If this idea gets the most votes and comments, the winner receives funding to attend a social innovation conference, and the project stands to receive financial and administrative support from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada to actually make this project happen. Please take a look, leave a comment, (even if it’s just a short one!)  and vote for the idea by clicking here:

A Website to Connect Givers in our Communities with the Homeless

The idea with the most votes and comments wins the competition! Let’s help alleviate homelessness in our own backyard, and make this a key issue as we discuss social problems in Vancouver.

Wow the idea sounds like a good one – it seems to me that if people know who they are giving the money to they are more supportive – it basically puts a face to homelessness. It dispels some misconceptions coz some homeless people are not drug addicts – they are just people like us that have just fallen into hard times. This is a very cool concept and seems very doable. Its almost the same concept as sponsoring a child that you did – u got a picture of the child and some info about the child so it makes you feel good about giving. It connects you so definitely i like this idea – keep up the good work!
